Milw County Exec Debates

There will be 2 debates for candidates who want to be the next Milwaukee County Executive.

Marquette University Law School will host the first this Friday at the Appellate Courtroom in Eckstein Hall.  It starts at noon.

The second will also begin at noon on Feb. 4th at the Imperial Room in Pfister Hotel.  It is being sponsored by the Public Policy Forum.  This debate will be concerned with county financial issues.

It looks like all 5 candidates, Rep. Jeff Stone, acting County Executive Lee Holloway, former state senator Jim Sullivan, Ieshuh Griffin, and Chris Abele will be in attendance according to published reports.  I think this is a positive move.  It doesn't matter what the chances of winning are, all legal candidates should be involved.
